Distributive Property
_You can use the Distributive Property to multiply a sum or difference by a number.
For every real number a, b, and c:
a(b + c) = ab + ac and (b + c)a = ab + ac
a(b - c) = ab - ac and (b - c)a = ab - ac
For every real number a, b, and c:
a(b + c) = ab + ac and (b + c)a = ab + ac
a(b - c) = ab - ac and (b - c)a = ab - ac
